AIZAWL, May 31: Chief Minister Zoramthanga was so touched by local people in Bihar offering fruits of stranded Mizos travelling home on a train that he took to twitter to exclaim that India is awash with love. 

Sharing the video on his Twitter handle, Zoramthanga said, “India is beautiful when it is awash with love.” The Shramik Express train carrying stranded Mizos back home had stopped briefly in a village in Begusarai, Bihar. In the video filmed by one of the passengers, it can be seen how enthusiastic villagers carried food near the train and offered them to the passen- gers. 

Zoramthanga also mentioned how a few days back stranded Mizos travelling on a train offered their food to flood-affected victims of Assam. These residents stranded in Delhi were brought safely home on Saturday night. 

The special train that carried them reached Bairabi rail station where they were received by team of officials and medical workers led by Kolasib DC Dr H La- lthangliana. The returnees were screened at 10 different screening points as soon as they disboarded the train. 

They were 1,436 people, 597 belonging to Aizawl district, 106 to Champhai district, six top Hnahthial district. Fourty- eight to Serchhip district, 37 to Khawzawl district, 90 to Kolasib district, 117 to Lawngtlai district, 110 to Lunglei district, 60 to Mamit district, 30 to Saitual district and 235 were from Siaha district. After they were screened, they were brought to their respective district quarantine centres. ~ Assam Tribune
