Walk-in-Interview (Revised Advertisement with Change of Interview Date)
The candidates willing to work in the following temporary project of this Institute are advised to appear for Interview on 2nd August, 2017 (Wednesday) at 10:00 AM at the Maiher Garden Hotel, Rampurhat Road, Dumka, Santhal Pargana, Jharkhand. Name of the Project: “A Study on Gender Inequity in Health Seeking Behaviour among Santhal tribes of Jharkhand.”
1. Technical Assistant (Field Work) – One
Essential Qualifications & Experience: Graduate in Science with subjects Psychology/Social Science from a recognized University with three years of work experience from a recognized research Institution or Master Degree in Psychology/Social Science.
Desirable: Master Degree with at least one year of experience in conducting community based health survey among the tribal population (especially among Santhal Tribes) and proficiency in communication (speaking) in local/tribal language. A local tribal candidate from Santhal Pargana will be preferred who can do the survey and also help the field team to during the survey as and when needed.
Age: Below 30 years as on Date of Interview
Emoluments: Rs.28,755/- per month (consolidated). No other allowances.
Job requirements: i. To report the project coordinator and follow the survey guidelines as per the field training, local meetings and coordination of survey.
ii. To identify of the geographical location of the selected village for survey, coordination with local administration for conducting survey and collection of data as per the plan of study.
iii. To supervise the Field worker while mapping, house-listing and selection of households for collection of data.
iv. To execute the field work according to the survey methodology (training provided before survey) and also to complete the survey as per the time line.
v. To edit and check the filled form daily and ensure the proper data collection.
vi. To sort out any difficulties in conducting survey with the help of local health administrator
vii. To communicate the progress of field work and submission of all the filled forms to coordinator after checking weekly.
viii. To manage, assist and support the survey work, also the field worker for timely execution and completion of project work.
Place of duty: Area of survey, but to be reported to local office at Dumka (Santhal Pargana), Jharkand for National Institute of Medical Statistics, New Delhi. Duration: Six months.
2. Field Worker – Eight
Essential Qualifications & Experience: 12th Pass in Science subjects and two years diploma in MPW/Social Science plus one year experience of field work or two years of experience of field work i.e. survey and data collection or Bachelor Degree in Science from a recognized university shall be treated as three years experience.
Desirable: Two year of experience in field work of health survey among the tribal population (especially among Santhal Tribes) and proficiency in communication (speaking) in local/tribal language. Local tribal candidate with above essential qualification will be preferred.
Age: Below 30 years as on date of interview
Emoluments: Rs.17,040/- per month (consolidated). No other allowances.
Job requirements: i. To work with the field team for data collection in the selected villages as per the training and supervision of Field Investigator (FI) & Coordinator.
ii. To proper coverage of field activity i.e. mapping, house-listing and interviewing the household and individual to fill up the forms.
iii. To ensure the completion of all the interviews (household/individual) during the survey as per the guideline.
iv. To carry out the field work according to the set guideline of survey (as per the Training to be provided by PIs/Co-PIs).
v. To submit all the field forms for regular checking to FI/Coordinator and follow his/her instructions during the survey.
vi. Any difficulties in conducting survey or completing the field work of village to be sorted out with the help of FI/Coordinator.
vii. To work with dedication for timely execution and completion of project work.

Duration: Six months Terms and Conditions
1. Selection will be based on performance in interview and test (if any).
2. The incumbents selected will have no claim for regular appointments under ICMR or continuation of their services in any other project.
3. Any canvassing shall be considered as disqualification.
4. The engagement may be terminated at any time as per need of the project. 5. This position does not carry any other benefits.
6. Age for the post is relax-able for SC/ST/OBC and other candidates as per Govt. rules in force. It is also relax-able for the candidates in deserving cases up to the limit of five years. Upper age limit shall be calculated as on the date of interview.
GENERAL: The eligible candidates called for appearing in the interview are requested to bring all original certificates and one set of attested photocopies of all certificates/testimonials along with application form. NOC is necessary in the case of persons already serving in Central/State Governments/ Autonomous Bodies/PSUs.
