MIZORAM GOVERNMENT CONTRIBUTES RS. 2 CRORES FOR KERALA DISASTER RELIEF
The Chief Minister of Mizoram Shri Lal Thanhawla today wrote to Shri Pinarayi Vijayan, Chief Minister of Kerala expressing his solidarity with the people of Kerala and informed him that the Mizoram Government is making a contribution of Rs. 2 crores towards disaster relief efforts.
The Chief Minister in a separate letter also informed the Kerala Chief Minister that all 34 MLA's of the Indian National Congress in the Mizoram Legislative Assembly have decided to contribute Rs. 1.00 lakh each, totalling to Rs. 34 lakhs, in the hope that it may alleviate a small portion of the immense hardships currently faced by the people of Kerala. -DIPR
