ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS 
1. Online applications are invited from unmarried male candidates (who fulfill eligibility conditions as laid down by the Government of India) for enrolment as sailors for Artificer Apprentice (AA) - Aug 2018 batch. 
2. Educational Qualifications. Qualified in 10+2 examination with 60% or more marks in aggregate with Maths & Physics and atleast one of these subjects: - Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science from an Educational board recognized by Central/ State government. 
3. Age. Candidates should be born between 01 Aug 1998 to 31 Jul 2001 (Both dates inclusive). 

PAY AND PERQUISITES 
4. Pay & Allowances. During the initial training period, a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month will be admissible. On successful completion of initial training, they will be placed in Level 3 of the Defence Pay Matrix (₹ 21,700- ₹69,100). In addition, they will be paid MSP @ ₹ 5200/- plus 'X' Group Pay @ Rs 6200/- per month plus DA (as applicable). ]
5. Promotion. Promotion prospects exist up to the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer-I, i.e. Level 8 of the Defence Pay Matrix (₹ 47,600- ₹ 1,51,100) plus MSP @ ₹ 5200/- plus 'X' Group Pay @ Rs 6200/- per month plus DA (as applicable). Opportunities for promotion to commissioned officer also exist for those who perform well and qualify the prescribed examinations.

SELECTION PROCEDURE 
The applications are to be filled online on website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in and all required documents in original are to be scanned and uploaded. The selection procedure is as follows:- 
(a) The ‘Online’ applications alongwith the required certificates will be sorted out State-wise. The qualifying cut off percentage of a particular state may be increased if more number of applications with higher percentage are received. Short-listing criteria will be based on percentage of marks scored in 10+2. 
THE CUT OFF PERCENTAGE WILL BE CALCULATED TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION BEST OF FIVE SUBJECTS (INCLUSION OF MATHS AND PHYSICS MANDATORY). 

(b) Call up Letters cum Admit Card for eligible short listed candidates indicating date, time and place for recruitment tests, which are scheduled during Mar/ Apr 2018, would be required to be downloaded from the official website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in. The Call up Letters cum Admit Card will be tentatively uploaded on website by End Jan 2018. No separate Call up Letter cum Admit Card will be issued. Candidates can be allotted any centre view administrative reasons. 

HOW TO APPLY 
For this entry, the candidates can apply ONLINE ONLY on the official website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in from 27 Nov to 10 Dec 17. The procedure is as follows:- 
(a) Before filling online application, keep matric certificate & 10+2 Mark sheet ready for reference. (b) Register yourself on www.joinindiannavy.gov.in with your E-mail Id, if not registered already. The E-mail Id will be used for all future communication. 
(c) ‘Log–in’ with the registered E-mail Id and Click on “Current Opportunities”. 
(d) Click on “Apply” (√) button. 
(e) Fill up the Form completely. Before clicking the ‘Submit’ button make sure all the details are correct and all required documents are scanned in original and uploaded. 
(f) Online applications will be further scrutinised for eligibility and may be rejected if found not eligible in any respect. 
(g) Photographs. THE PHOTOGRAPH TO BE UPLOADED SHOULD BE OF GOOD QUALITY WITH BLUE BACKGROUND.
