AIZAWL, Jan 11: Mizoram
will host the Indian Film Festival
for the first time from January
23-25.
The mega event, which is
part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan,
will be jointly organised
by Mizoram government
and Innovations India Advertising
and Events Pvt Ltd.
Innovations India managing
director and curator of the
event , Rahul Bali said that the
mega event will be inaugurated by Mizoram Chief Minister
Lal Thanhawla on January 23
at the Vanapa Hall.
“The event will see the participation
of a number of acclaimed
film makers from across
the country and the world and
the inaugural function will be attended
by dignitaries and luminaries
from across India and the
world,” he added.
Rahul said it was a matter of
great pride and honour for him
and his entire team at Innovation
India to curate the first-ever Indian
Film Festival Mizoram.
Citing reasons for organising
the festival, he said that Mizoram
is a beautiful state that has
remained unexplored till now
as far as the world of films are
concerned.
He expressed gratitude to
the Mizoram government
for agreeing to make the Indian
Film Festival Mizoram
an annual event which shall
feature a rich mixture of
programmes designed to
build and support the growing
interest of the Indian film
