MIMER Mizoram Inaugurated: The much-awaited Mizoram Institute of Medical Education and Research (MIMER) was finally inaugurated by Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla, today.

Chief Minister said that it is a new step and expressed gratitude to all those persons who play a crucial role for the success of MIMER.





Citing that 'Well begun is half done', the Chief Guest Lal Thanhawla encouraged faculty members and students to be diligent and hard working from the very beginning.

First Medical College Mizoram

The Guest of Honour Finance Minister Lalsawta said that another unforgetable milestone is set for Mizoram.

Regarding the seat allotment, 70% of the 100 seats is reserved for the state’s students, 15% seats for Central pool quota, while the other 15% is reserved for non-resident Indians.





MIMER is seperated into College Wing and Hospital Wing.

Mizoram first ever medical college is situated in Falkawn village, about 16 km from state capital Aizawl.

The Guest of Honour Health Minister Lalthanzara wishes good luck to the first MBBS batch.

The event was attended by Speaker Hiphei, Home Minister R Lalzirliana, Higher & Technical Education Minister R Romawia, Sports & Youth Services Minister Zodintluanga and MLA's. AIR News
