ARO, Aizawl despatched approximately 150 candidates to various training centres all over India on the 29th December 2018. These selected candidates had participated in the recruitment rally which commenced on 3rd October, 2018 at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Mualpui, Aizawl. Approximately 3000 candidates participated in the rally. Having qualified the physical, medical and written exams, the selected candidates were despatched after verifying their documents and credentials.
A large number of parents had gathered at ARO Aizawl to bid farewell to these budding soldiers. The move from Aizawl to Guwahati was organised in three buses. The senior most citizen in the crowd - the grandmother of a selected candidate flagged off these buses.
