Eligibility Criteria of SSC Constable GD Recruitment

Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India. Vacancies are state/ UT wise hence a candidate must submit domicile/ PRC against his state/ UT.

Age Limit: 18-23 years as on 01.08.2021. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.08.1998 and later than 01.08.2003.

Age Relaxation: Permissible relaxations in upper age limit for different categories are as under:

SC/ ST: 5 years
OBC 3: years

Educational Qualification: The candidates must have passed Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/ University.

Application Fee: Candidates have to pay a certain amount as application fee depending up on their category. The details are as given below:

SC/ ST/ ESM/ Women: NIL
Others: Rs 100/-

Payment Mode: BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or through cash in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.

Selection Process of SSC Constable GD Vacancy

The selection process of SSC Constable GD will consist of following stages:

a) Computer Based Examination (CBE)
b) Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
c) Physical Standard Test (PST)
d) Medical Examination (DME/ RME) and
e) Document Verification

Admit Card for any stage of examination will not be sent by Post. Facility for download of Admit Cards will be provided at the websites of Regional Offices of the Commission as well as on the website of CRPF i.e. http://www.crpf.gov.in. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the websites of the Commission i.e. https://www.ssc.nic.in, Regional Office concerned and the Nodal CAPF i.e. CRPF for the updates on examination process and download of Admit Cards for each stage of examination.

A candidate belonging to a caste of SC, ST or OBC category, on migration from one State to another State will have to make an informed choice whether to get the benefit of reservation in the State of origin or to appear as unreserved candidate from the State of migration. Such choice will have to be exercised by the candidate in the online Application Form. No request for change of such option, after the submission of Application Form, will be entertained by the Commission. In case, a candidate opts to avail the benefit of reservation from the State of origin, he will have to submit information about the District and State of his origin as well as the District and State of his current domicile in the Application Form and his candidature will be considered from the State of origin. Such candidates will not be required to submit Domicile Certificate from the State of origin.

A candidate has to give option for three centres, in the order of priority, within the same Region. No request for change of centre will be considered later under any circumstances. Hence, the candidates should select the centres carefully and indicate the same correctly in their applications.
